GOD, MENTIONED IN QUR'AN AND BIBLE
“… These are the verses of the Divine Book, the Glorious Qur'an which makes the things clear.”(Qur’an;15:1). “… This is nothing but a reminder and a (divine) discourse, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth to the end that it may warn every one is alive (of heart) and that the word (of GOD) may bear witness against all who deny the truth.”(Qur’an;36:69-70)
SOME VERSES ON GOD IN THE QUR’AN
“God, there is no god but He, the living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. no slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things In the heavens and on earth. who is there can intercede In His presence except As He permits? He knows what (appears to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. nor shall They compass aught of His knowledge except As He wills. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue In guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).”( Qur’an;2:255)
“GOD is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche, in which there is a lamp, the lamp is enclosed in crystal, the crystal is of a star like brilliance, it is lit with the olive oil from a blessed olive tree which is neither eastern nor western, its very oil would almost be luminous though no fire touched it - as though all the means of increasing Light upon Light are provided - GOD guides to His Light whom He pleases. GOD cites such parables to make His message clear to the people; and GOD has knowledge of everything. His Light is found in those houses which GOD has sanctioned to be built for the remembrance of His name; where His praise is sung, in the mornings and in the evenings again and again, By men whom neither traffic nor merchandise can divert from the Remembrance of GOD nor from regular Prayer nor from the practice of regular Charity: their (only) fear is for the Day when hearts and eyes will be transformed (in a world wholly new). who hope that GOD will reward them according to the best of their deeds and add for them even more out of His grace: for GOD gives without measure to whom He pleases. As for the unbelievers, their deeds will disappear like a mirage in a sandy desert, which the thirsty traveler thinks to be water, but when he comes near, he finds it to be nothing, instead he finds GOD to settle his account - GOD is swift in settling accounts.”(Qur’an;24:35-39)
“Say: He is God the One and Only; God is the Self-Sufficient (independent of all, while all are dependent on Him); He begets not, nor is He begotten; And there is none comparable to Him”.(Qur’an;112:1-4).
“Whenever He intends a thing, He needs only to say: "Be," and it is.”(Qur’an;36:82)
“Glory be to Him in Whose hands is the Kingdom of all things; and to Whom you shall all be brought back.” .”(Qur’an;36:83)
"He is the Lord of the East and West, and all that lies between them. If you would but use your reason!” (Qur’an;26:28)
“GOD is He than whom there is no other god the sovereign the Holy One the Source of Peace (and Perfection). The Guardian of Faith the Preserver of Safety the Exalted in Might the Irresistible the Supreme: Glory to GOD! (high is He) above the partners they attribute to Him.”(Qur’an;59:23)
“Say: "Invoke GOD, or invoke the Most Gracious: by whichever name you invoke Him, (He is always the One-for) His are all the attributes of perfection(Asma’ Allah al-Husna), …”(Qur’an;17:110 also 20:8, 59:24, 7:180).
